The video below shows several scenes of character interaction. The actions are all between two characters and make use of weight and balance. The actions are shown first in normal speed, then again slowed down to be able to analyse the movement clearer. Most of the actions have quite basic elements in them that could be of use later in any other (more exciting) setting in an actual animation.
Below is a fragment of one of the actions from the video broken down into still images, each with a gap of about 6/7 frames in between. Two people are passing each other, pretending it is a narrow space and they have to pass as close as possible not to fall. We can see that the characters are both turned to the front and pass each other sideways, if not done this way they would have been in a very unbalanced position. Many careful small steps are taken. The front character is back in normal walking position sooner than the back character, who is still finding her balance before continuing the walk.
The image sequence underneath shows every sixth frame of the filmed action of a character helping another character onto a rock. The action is prepared by reaching to each other hands and the character on the rock bending forward, the other character lifts up her right leg and places it on the rock. This is all anticipation before the main action. For the main action the character on the ground shifts all her weight to the leg on the rock by 'pushing' it in the rock and bending forward, also the left arm is going forward so weight and balance will help the character to move upwards and onto the rock (if she would have leaned backwards she would obviously have either fallen, pulled the other character from the rock, or in any way not have been able to get onto the rock.) As it is not a very high or slippy rock the character already on the rock has an easy job, there is not a very big force needed in the pull, but it is rather an extra guidance and help in balance for the other character.
